Hi could anyone please advise?. I have removed the gear box from my son 1995 Cinquecento because he snapped a bolt while replacing the inner CV boot and I couldn't access to remove it because of the sump. Whilst it is out we thought I would be with sorting the 3rd gear synchro. As far as I can tell I have removed everything needed to split the cases but can't seem to get more than 3/4 separation and the shafts don't seem to want to come out from the bearings. Does anyone have a strip down procedure for this.
TIA ROB

Don't know specifically about your model, but generally the "lay gears" need dropping out of the way to allow full stripping of a gearbox on many vehicles.
I assume selectors are not stopping you?

Not sure if it's the same 'box, does this help?
If it is, I would consider replacing the input shaft bearing and seal, a known weak point on these transmissions. Certainly check for play in the bearing. And maybe driveshaft seals too whilst the box is off the car.
