if your trying to say the red dot remap is gonna break my turbo then why would they remap it? Otherwise my turbo will be fine. And i will get turbo fixed under warranty if it needs doing. Augusto Donetti said my turbo will be fine. Not heard of any problems with turbo's going from red dot remaps.

He wasn't trying to say the red dot map was going to break your turbo. He said don't think that if your turbo was to break, don't expect all fiat dealerships to be ingnorant of modifications.

But you can take the remap off so it'll be fine.

Tym, I think what Kris and Peter are trying to get at mate is that although the remap is transparent and easily removable there are other modifications such as full exhaust systems that arent so easy to remove (especially if the standard parts have been binned) and in these situations the car would have to go to Fiat with the modifications still present which might push Fiat to start poking around looking for other modifications which might have contributed to the failed part in question (whatever it may be).

Although I could be wrong

No one else has pointed this out in this thread, so i will, Your car looks really good ris, love the vinyl on the front, goes well with the wheels. The new figures sound good too, will have to come out with you for a spin sometime. (y)

I second that, it is one of the best looking GP's that I've had the pleasure to set my eyes on :worship: Just wish I had stuck around to go out for a spin in it

C'MON get pics of the strip up!!

im sooooo tempted :D

Do it mate, dont think about it, dont second guess it... Just Do It!!!!!! Seeing it in the metal it really does look ready for the track :D

PK..Are the two sets of figures on the graph pre and post map? It looks like it was 139 bhp standard?

Looking at the timestamp on the RR graph I'm prety sure thats with the GSR fitted, pre and post mapping (y)

So Kris, it's a day on now, I'm sure you've put a few miles on it 'testing' it..... So how you finding it?

I think it does dude :) With Kris' your attention is grabbed by the red netting that sits around about where the rear bench used to be attached to bungy cords holding the spare wheel in place

Yeah, Kris has definately done a great job of removing the rear bench...i'm going to do a similar thing myself...get a full rear build on the go I think...just got to weight it up against how much i require them for passengers but it would definately be nice to not have rear seats!!! Mite just fold them down constantly if I can't remove them...gives a similar effect!!!

The lower set of figures were with the gsr on its own

Thanks Si,
well the drive to work was nice, its effortless power and 6th gear is brilliant, 1st gear is alot better now. The sound is ok aswell, it chatters and dumps like a petrol turbo (not too loud though), especially around 2000rpm. I bet your happy with yours aswell (y)

Cheers ed, get your pics up asap! I was good meeting you and the 1.4 16v gsr induction sounds absolutely amazing.

Since the strip out its alot more planted if not a little skittish on the back end (to be expected as most of the weight is a the front). Plus the power to weight os better. Those back seats are heavy. But it seems a shame as I have the leather, and theres only so much fun you can have watching tv at home on a bench seat :p

How did I only find this thread now...

Looks great Kris, liking the vinyl aswell :p. What's this about stripping out the rear - where the hell have I been?????? Pics, now damnit!

Sounds like the gains are good, may come up to red dot and see if they can improve on my map, sounds like they'rea good bunch of lads.
