General Lada Owners Club or Forum?

Only club I know of is the Unloved Soviet Socialist Register, they are a UK club that cater for all eastern bloc cars. Mad as hatters, they attend all the big classic car shows here. Once we at the Fiat Motor Club had a 125 on our stand at the NEC and they stuck a Lada badge on it, so we stuck a Fiat one on their Lada Riva! Samara though? Not sure about that!

OK, I'm posting this in the Panda section as you are more broad minded than that lot on the rest of the forum. :D

Does anyone know of a Lada based forum or UK/Ireland owners club? I'm thinking specifically of the Lada Samara. Also, any idea on parts supply/availability for these?

You really need help you know that???:shakehead

Jim

Its the weird styling. Older eastern bloc cars were cool, Rivas, Estelles, Dacias etc, but then it went all wrong in the late 80s with the Samara and Skodas Favorit, they just look so urgh! And that FSO Polonez thing, what was wrong with the 125p!!!

Steve if your going to get a Lada get the Niva Cossack best of the lot and is as Rugged & manly as you could find, it may change your image :)
I also think the cossack is their best oil burning petrol guzzling design... it's quite practical SWB good visiblilty... well it's a lot better than the others anyway.

I considered myself broad minded because at first glance i thought the title of this thread was "Lady Owners Club or Forum?", I have realised that it says LADA which i find horrifying really

;) yer right Tony -so you call it being "broad minded" looking up lady's clubs!;) It's all very well but in that case where do i find the men's?

Cos its a pile of russian/eastern european **** to sum up. No performace, even the 750 will feel luxurious compared to that.

Plus we get to pile you with lada jokes and turn you into a quivering wreck

Ah, I got an old Top Gear mag somewhere where the president of the Register had Top Gear test 5 or 6 Eastern Bloc cars he owned. They did the test in reverse, so the worst car won :D
