General Is this a DPF?

Can someone confirm is this is a DPF? (See pic)

No, it's a pre-cat. A DPF, if fitted to a 1.9, is further under the car (just after the front subframe).

I'm guessing mine doesn't have one then as next down the pipe is what I believe is a muffler? (See pic).

Yep. It's very rare for the 1.9's to have a DPF, especially the early models, as it was optional at the time.
