When City Mode is active, sometimes the steering light turns red and the steering becomes very hard! When I stop the engine and start it again, the problem goes away. Is the source of this problem the "Torque Sensor/Steering Sensor"? Or is it the relays in the circuit under the steering wheel?

Almost certainly cables, battery or alternator, not torque sensor

The higher demand from the electrical system while in city is finding the weak spot

Unfortunately there's no easy answer, change this and it will fix it

It's pretty much all covered here

I'd start by swapping the battery out for a known good, there's no cheap reliable test for the battery, plenty of people have had the battery checked at the garage as fine changed everything including the EPS to find it was the battery in the first place

The only time I've had this problem it was the battery.

I replaced the battery, only to find the alternator was weak. Yours is probably the battery, but best to check both.

Tanya batteries are very good. I fitted a Yuasa HSB5012 and have not looked back

This is the equivalent. Price is much the same as when I got mine in 2022. It's better to go bigger with batteries, especially with electric power steering.
