With the possative lead on the negative terminal and the other on the rocker cover it’s fluctuating between .6 and .9
A perfect earth it should top out at under 0.2V that's straight as cranking starts then drops

I don't overly worry if it's under 0.5V, just know it going to need sorting soon

What's the voltage measure now
I’ve checked all fuses under bonnet next to battery and done the test you recommended.it fluctuates up then settles at near zero. Still no steering light on dash. I have noticed if it’s running and I put foot on brake for around 8 seconds as I lift foot off the engine idle raise fora second

Post a video of the dash, keep it as short as possible, let's see exactly the behaviour of all the other lights on the dash, immobilizer, charge oil engine check, at ignition on, cranking, and running
No it’s a digital meter and settles prob more than fluctuates
Unplug the injector harness or similar to stop it firing, crank sensor or ECU plug also works

Crank for about 5 seconds

And give us a voltage reading so we can move forwards

Ok disconnected and with leads negative to negative and positive on engine it reads 0.34 and swap lead an it’s 0.0

Shouldn't make any difference which way round the leads are, just the measurements will either be positive or negative, probably 0V is poor contact

0.34v is a acceptable
