With leads reversed its higherWith the possative lead on the negative terminal and the other on the rocker cover it’s fluctuating between .6 and .9
I’ll change it tommorow . I did hold a wire on negative and other end on the block other day but no joyFaulty earth strap under the battery going from the chassis to the engine block
A perfect earth it should top out at under 0.2V that's straight as cranking starts then dropsWith the possative lead on the negative terminal and the other on the rocker cover it’s fluctuating between .6 and .9
Worth looking at first could just be dirt contacts or loose boltI’ll change it tommorow . I did hold a wire on negative and other end on the block other day but no joy
Cheers I’ll let you know tommorowWorth looking at first could just be dirt contacts or loose bolt
Earth replaced and still same. No lights on dash but power steering still not workingCheers I’ll let you know tommorow![]()
What's the voltage measure nowEarth replaced and still same. No lights on dash but power steering still not working

I’ve checked all fuses under bonnet next to battery and done the test you recommended.it fluctuates up then settles at near zero. Still no steering light on dash. I have noticed if it’s running and I put foot on brake for around 8 seconds as I lift foot off the engine idle raise fora secondWhat's the voltage measure now
Still no steering light on dash
fluctuates up then
No it’s a digital meter and settles prob more than fluctuatesNothing at ignition on
How much during cranking, still around a volt
Unplug the injector harness or similar to stop it firing, crank sensor or ECU plug also worksNo it’s a digital meter and settles prob more than fluctuates
Ok disconnected and with leads negative to negative and positive on engine it reads 0.34 and swap lead an it’s 0.0Post a video of the dash, keep it as short as possible, let's see exactly the behaviour of all the other lights on the dash, immobilizer, charge oil engine check, at ignition on, cranking, and running
Unplug the injector harness or similar to stop it firing, crank sensor or ECU plug also works
Crank for about 5 seconds
And give us a voltage reading so we can move forwards
Shouldn't make any difference which way round the leads are, just the measurements will either be positive or negative, probably 0V is poor contactOk disconnected and with leads negative to negative and positive on engine it reads 0.34 and swap lead an it’s 0.0
