I also bought a new JVC radio and faced the same problem, it stays always on even if I switch off the car. When I turn off the radio it always shows day and hour. Does this drains the battery out?
Can someone provide a guide to connect the radio to cigarette lighter?
Thanks in advance.(y)

there is a thread on here that shows you how to change a wire and what one to change. this will sort out the problem, i used it as my new unit glowed blue during the night as it still had constant power. its easy to sort

Right, I've fitted my stereo today.
Also had trouble with the fascia as it wouldnt clip into place because the clip points wouldn't reach that far so I slightly cut the console holes a bit so they would reach and the fascia sits perfectly now.

As much as for the wires, ive marked with green arrow, this is where the antenna goes, probably will need an adapter thingy that s and b mentioned. I got mine from halfords for like 4 quid though.

The wires, ive marked red and yellow (by arrows) coming OUT of the stereo and connecting to just the yellow going IN
