General Heading for ebay

Sorry if this breaks any Forum rules, Mods delete if it does.

I am going to list this on ebay shortly, but thought you should have first shout.
The car drives & stops well but from there it goes a bit wrong.
So bad points.
The fuel tank leaks where the filler neck joins the tank.
You have to prime the carb if it has stood for a while, not sure why as the fuel pump works ok.
The radiator leaks.
The exhaust is blowing badly & is well beyond saving.
All 4 tyres are well worn
There are a number of rust issues bottom of the passenger, both wings & rear arches.

That all looks bad but I still recon it could be made road worthy again with the attention of an enthusiast.

that looks like quite a nice 4x4! inside the car looks really good..

i have not come across an exhaust i have not been able to save yet (so long as the innards have not rusted through) just a note however for anyone who buys it and is going to replace it.. a complete exhaust in total is about £200.. the same amount it costs to get a stainless one made up..

Hmm, tow bar is a challenge! If coming to Preston and fancy popping by, I still have that bonnet/tailgate (can't remember which!) for you.

Try listing it on Shiply too - might end up not much more than fuel costs.

Good luck - if I had the time I'd definitely take it on. We had a white Panda (H716 CCK) which we found in Southport in similar condition (but not running) and ended up looking OK - white really suits them IMHO. It's on ebay now (not me, sold some years ago).

Ah yes, it was the bonnet, I wonder if I can fit a set of Alfa seats and a bonnet in a Mk3?

:idea: I do have roof rails, how much gaffer tape/ string would it take to lash the bonnet down like a mahoosive spoiler :slayer:
