Technical Looking for Metal Head Gasket for Fiat Panda 1.1 (2003, 54 HP) - Available in Poland

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for metal head gaskets for my Fiat Panda 1.1 (2003, 54 HP). Recently, the head gasket blew after just 100,000 km, which is quite unusual. The engine started misfiring, lost some power, and then a huge cloud of thick, milk-like white smoke appeared.

I want to do the repair properly and avoid using the standard paper gaskets. I’m looking for a metal gasket to improve on the factory setup. Ideally, it would be something I can find in Poland.

Does anyone know where I can source one?

As I understand, FIAT was installing paper ones and you want to put the improved, proper version?

I don’t know the part number, but I’ve heard that some people are switching to metal head gaskets. From what I understand, they’re seen as an upgrade over the standard paper ones.

You could also check intercars.pl and aparts.pl, but of course allegro.pl will probably be the less expensive source for the same exact part. No idea of which part of Poland you are (the avatar suggests Kraków), but all of them will deliver to your place or paczkomat.
