General Fiat Service

General Fiat Service

I think its supposed to be for anyone that bought their GP from AC but it doesn't say it on the leaflet and you might find AC branches that would do it on your GP even if you didn't buy it from them.

I presume (and I could be very wrong) that they mean tappit clearance which is part of the 2nd service.

Well I didn't buy it from AC, but defo worth a try anyways - thanks for that (y)

And, erm, what's tappit clearance....? (blonde female here with only 5 months of extremely basic car experience )

dont matter if you got car from AC or not.

Tappet problems on Fiats are quite rare but it is technically part of the service schedule (so is using the correct oil) but I doubt Fiat would be to bothered as AC sell Fiats in bucket loads so wouldn't want to upset the apple cart so to speak;)

Just haggle with them, i was quoted £240 for 3rd year service and MOT but got it down to £120 for the service and £27 for the MOT:D
Remember that dealers will be struggling for service work as much as anyother garage in these credit crunch times.

Well AC quoted me £155 all inclusive, which I was almost sold by..... Until I went back to Stoneacre to see what they'd come up with...... Imagine my surprise when they dropped their origional £195, to £145!! So it's all booked in for the 6th.
