Where has £414 come from then?, I know this was the figure quoted no mistake about that.
TBH I was a little shocked when they mentioned it!

:yeahthat: ditto me when I enquired about my 2nd service, offered to drop it to 330 quid from 440 as I had bought 3 cars off them....

Fiat Ayr 18k service incl parts all in £99

36k service all parts £149

My 36k due in 2 months or so.

Have said before it could be worth a drive to Ayr and get the service, you can even meet nice and friendly natives like T and I.:D

Seems to me that Mjet owners are being unfairly financially punished come servicing time.
That does'nt get mentioned when Mjet GP's are being sold you can bet!!

If thats the price to service my 1.9 Mjet Sporting in Ayr?, it would even save me money driving from Staffs, near Cannock to Ayr including a night out!!

I'll use the dealer for a Gold service anytime at 159squids! No contest TBH!

Independent did my last one for 189 quid, so 30 quid less and a Dealer stamp! (y)

 TJV told me their Bronze, Silver and Gold servicing didnt apply to diesels when I was after my 2nd service if you recall T? And I think you endorsed that, if things have changed then dealers need to let their Customers know. Would that cost include an Examiner sesh?

I just got those prices from Fiat.co.uk website.

These are 3+ year service prices, seeing as OP (cnewton) car is 07 and just had (I assume) second service might aswell get cheap one for 3rd year service as warranty is out. From memory 3rd service is same as firts so should be roughly same price as first anyway.

Daver

18 k service diesel £119

36k service on diesel £169

you know it makes sense(y)

I paid up mine in advance when I got my car. Although it ties me into AC the deal was too good to ignore and it gives the peace of mind that I don't have to find money for servicing later on. Think mine was about £350 for all 3 full services to Fiat spec.

Nothing would give me greater pleasure than supporting my local dealer and giving them my business but when they ask £517 for a 2nd year service and over £70 just to supply a set of brake pads........err do I need to carry on?

Yeah straight up.........those were the prices I was quoted. I should name and shame but I promised the dealer principle when we had words and settled our differences that I wouldnt give him any adverse publicity.

Checked Fiat website and the best deal is cars over 3 years old, Bronze, Silver or Gold service.
£159 for my Mjet on the 2nd September this year, 3years and 1 day old will do nicely for me thank you!:D

Telephone call confirmed my Dealer are able to offer this deal, ref "selected dealers" on Fiat Website, surely all the Dealers should be offering this deal, or is it left to customers to delve a bit deeper and find out for themselves ?, if they don't ask perhaps charge a lot more??, sorry to be a bit cynical and in fairness my Dealership immediatly offered the £159 service as soon as I mentioned it.
As I'm sure all responsible Dealers do anyway.

Thought I'd hi-jack this thread rather than starting yet another on servicing costs....

So.... my GP 1.2 Active is due it's 2nd service with 15,600 miles on it.

So far I've got a quote from Stoneacre in Ackworth for £195 all inclusive. Also, they've said if I can find a cheaper like-for-like quote, they'll match it.
I was gunna have a ring round a few places to see how low I can go :)p), but by the looks of several threads on here, £195 for servicing, including labour, all parts & VAT seems like a pretty good price. Plus, they've given me a low mileage discount of £4 lol

Anyone know any decent yorkshire places that could do a better deal than this? I've never had to service a car before, so have no idea what I'm looking for!!

If they said they would match then point them to AC. £149 for the 2nd service to Fiat spec - though they will charge extra for adjusting valve clearances if required.
