The FIAT 500e is not doing as well as FIAT had hoped, and building on that the Abarth 500e is not doing as well either.
The biggest problem of the 500e is its price and the very limited real life Range.
If you get 210 km in daily use you've had enough, or you have to drive like an elderly 80-something with such an Abarth 500e.
FIAT is said to have indicated that they are working on much better batteries for the 500e facelift/product upgrade, with a WLTP range of 400 Km.
When the new Fiat Abarth 500e Scorpionissima and later the Turismo's with all 155 hp were introduced, there was also talk of a later 500e Competizione, with the engine and limited slip differential from the Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce with 240-280 hp.
This model has faded into the background a bit due to all the problems with the sales figures and limited range of the FIAT Abarth 500e, partly due to the poor range of the 500e, which is not at all sufficient for a 500e Competizione with 240-280 hp.
With better batteries, and a minimum WLTP range of 400 Km, a 500e Competizione could have a chance and compete against the Alpine A290.

P.S. Just 2 quick simple illustrative fictional Renders of a possible Abarth 500e Competizione, with basic wheels (pic 1), and Assetto Corsa wheels (pic 2).
