Ordered mine from Vospers, Plymouth. I was told the factory has a 2 week holiday, hence my 12 weeks build will be 14 weeks.

Ordered my wife`s car at the end of April and had a call from the dealer last week to say that it was now built (status 20) - a week earlier than the scheduled build week, so hoping for a mid July delivery!

As regards to the talk about the Fiat factories taking a two week holiday I've spoken to my local dealership and was told that this is right and they are in fact certainly taking a two week holiday in August.
Although this is happening I have been told by the Salesman that the delivery date has not been affected and that my car will be due on the 1 - 3 of September. My only guess is when they put our orders through they took into consideration this holiday and have made the approximate delivery date. This is only a guess though.
Let me know if anyone here differently or more.

I've gone for 1.2 Lounge Pasadoble Red, Black ambience (black white chequered seats) ESP, Parking Sensors, Mats, Side Rub Strip with Chequered badge (to go with seats, lol) and may get roof chequered too
Loved the ivory ambience but could imagine it getting really grubby with me
I know what you mean I'm well excited! Start my new job on 2nd Sept but more excited for the car!
Love the red too. I took a test drive in one. But had to have my first choice as I've been dreaming about one since they first came out. Also, not had a white car before. As for the ivory ambience - I'll have to wash my hands everytime I go out for a drive LOL I think not!

I like the "classicness" of Ivory but it had to be black for me too.Anyway back on subject... ordered mine last saturday and was told "expected" build date of week 35 thats late august...about 10 weeks - 12 weeks? surely the salesman did not fib to me?..
hmmm late august just after they come back from holiday...does that mean it will be better built as they are well rested or worse as they are PO'ed at being back at work .Spec - 1.2 Pop Bossa Nova White, Red & Black Cloth, 2 Tone Sports Alloys (code 439) and B&M

We've had this convo times many, general opinion is that you should wash your own car, but Heidi never agrees as her hubby always does it.

Paid a visit to a Fiat dealer while visiting my old hometown. We only stopped at the dealer so wife could hug a 500 as she's been waiting (im)patiently since April... They told us that the production line effectively shuts down over August and that if we were to order that day we'd be looking at October delivery(!).
I'm glad we ordered our white pop when we did. It's apparently scheduled to arrive in the UK on 17th July (assuming all goes well) with delivery being whenever the dealer can persuade them to put all their 500's on the back of the lorry. It's all I can do to stop the wife ringing them every day to see what's happening... (bet she reads this too!!)

I ordered my 1.2 lounge, tropicalia yellow with sports side stripes on 19th May. I phoned the dealer today and he said its scheduled to be built this week! I'm very excited! Anybody have any ideas it takes to get to the dealers after it has been made? Im getting very impatient, but very excited as well!

I was given mid August for delivery date so think I'll hold out until Sept 1st though - will be hard if it arrives earlier though! I'm not good at waiting!

I just don't think I can wait til September if it comes before! It's worse than waiting for Christmas! I think the dealer thinks I'm stalking him cos Im on the phone to him weekly!
