You can remove/move the ac pump as long as you don't touch the pipes to give you more wiggle room, a helper/friend would be really helpful
Thanks, have driven it 2 miles to another garage who quoted £70 to install the alternator. Battery warning light came on after about 1.5 miles. Hopefully all sorted tomorrow :)
 
Which one was it and where did you source it for future help to others?
I went with the one you recommended.


I had paypal credit so paying £10 a month fot the next 11 months. I did the research on the part number and other motor factors are selling it for £160.

Glad I manage to find you a saving, I have to admit I buy most of my car parts on Ebay, does require a bit searching and checking but most power sellers are a safe purchase?

This is the one I put in my 2011 about 3 years ago I have stop start and climate control… no issues at all .. apparently this in the new model number
