General eco:drive is now available for Bravo!

I placed this post under Grande Punto section, but I didn't got any answer there, therefore, I hope someone can answer in this forum:

I think there's something seriously wrong with the Ecodrive program. I let the program analyze my driving behaviour, and my eco-index was only 62. The program told me that I had problems with gear shifting. When I looked at the optimal revs of the FIAT-program, they stated the following:

I should shift to 2nd gear at 1500 rpm / me too
I should shift to 3rd gear at 1200 rpm / I'm shifting at 1800 rpm
I should shift to 4rd gear at 1100 rpm / I'm shifting at 2100 rpm
I should shift to 5th gear at 1000 rpm / I'm shifting at 2200 rpm
I should shift to 6th gear at 900 rpm / I'm shifting at 2200 rpm

I asked other people about what the FIAT-program is saying, and everyone told me that the optimal rev of the ecodrive program is just insane. I also thought so since I even think that I'm switching gears too fast at the moment... I have a 1.3 90pk GP sport. What are your thoughts about the program and when do you people change gears and what are your results?

That does indeed sound like a stupidly low speed to be changing gear and the engine would be really struggling at that point.
900rpm is basically tickover so to change up a gear is just wrong.

If you change up and the engine is labouring then you've changed too early.

My score so far running from 1-day after picking the car up, upto 53.6 MPG average on second tank of fuel (half used).. slowly loosening up. Star scores : 3-star acceleration, 4.5 star deceleration, 3 star gear changes, 4 star speed.

On my TJet 150 I can easily go through all gears at about 1500 rpm, even lower for 5th and 6th, and the engine is absolutely not struggling. 900-1100 rpm is too low indeed; but shifting to 5th and 6th at 2200 rpm as most of you guys report...I must say the problem is in your TV :)

ok heres a good eco drive tip.

Dont leave over 2 months of driving on your USB and try and load onto PC. It took 5 hours to retrieve the data, then EcoDrive broke my PC when processing the results, which took 3 hours tonight to fix. (Froze at about 3am this morning and wouldnt start back up as windows files missing/corrupted)

why it took so long and corrupted files in the process, i dont know, all i do know is i got everything working, i missed my eco target by miles and you can see my journey home on friday afternoons (driving patterns skewed at start of graph due to being off work and driving the saxo a lot)

anyhows, this is how im doing

oh and i wonder what eco drive will look like on sat after its serviced!
