Technical Doors will not lock, small click heard, can manually lock drivers door

My 2013 3 door fiat Punto will not lock. Upon the remote button press the doors will make a small click, i have replaced the lock for the drivers side door as prior it would not click upon a button press. Any ideas would be a great help. Ive changed the fuse and battery for the key.

What are boot and other door locking like?
Sometimes locks only close on the first catch and fail to work remotely, so with all doors and boot open carefully lock each catch into the second position and see if the remote works then.
Note whether it does or not, carefully release all the catches fully before trying to close boot or doors or you will damage the locks.
Only do this test if you are fully aware of risk!

Opened all doors and moved latches on both doors and boot to closed position, pressed lock on key, doors still open by the outdoor handle, im assuming this means not locked

If you do the above and then lock using key manually in drivers lock if it doesn't lock then I would assume either a faulty drivers door lock or the wiring possibly at drivers door hinge is a common area.

the door on drivers side will lock manually, but only that door, hence my confusion, the lights to the car flash when i try to lock so clearly its getting a signal

Do you have any diagnostics like MES or MaxiEcuScan which can activate and test many functions on Fiats?
