Hi there
have got a 2015 doblo 1.6 diesel and having problems starting in cold, not getting any heat/power to glow plugs, have changed glow plugs (although originals read fine on Ohm meter) fitted new glow plug relay, on trying to start up glow plug symbol comes on for couple of seconds but nothing appears to be reaching plugs themselves, appreciate any pointers/help? thanks

just had another check 12v going to glow plugs for couple of seconds but still no sign of starting, for the past week i have had to put a fan heater under bonnet for 40 mins then it just about starts, thanks

Try disconnecting the coolant temp sensor and see if that makes the glow plug light stay on for longer, if you try and start it with it disconnected though it will trigger the EML. Been a couple of coolant sensors on multijets that have caused cold start issues

I suppose yours being a newer model, but my 2010 Fiat Doblo never had a problem starting (weather mild here) however it came up with a heater plug warning on the screen display, so I tested them and sure enough faulty.
I used a amp meter and a volt meter and the readings I got with new heater plugs were 4.4 volts and roughly 8 amps.
I always used to test using a Ohm meter for continuity on heater plugs , but found this to be more precise.
This is the old ones, I can clearly see 4.4 volts written on them , but sorry my hands are too shaky to get a good clear photo of the voltage.
Is this Bosch part number different to what is recommended for your later 1.6 Doblo?
