Technical 2016 Doblo 1.6

Hi All, I have a 2016 Doblo 1.6d and i am really struggling to get reverse 1st, 3rd & 5th gears. I have took the cables off and tried and seem to get full movement in the selector and also with 1 of the cables connected seems fine but when both are connected can't get the gears even with the engine off. Just looking to see if anyone has had similar issues before taking the box out for repair.

If you can get drive in all the gears with cables off, then hopefully a cable issue.
I recently fitted new gear cables to my 2010 Doblo1.6, parts around a £100, it involved removing centre console etc. vehicle on stands bolts off that hold rubber grommet with cable going through and clips underneath holding cables correctly in place, apart from the under bonnet bit.
However from memory the only actual adjustment was for the left to right gate below gear lever by pulling a clip out of the plastic on the cable and getting it to the best postion.
So forward and back may be down to an issue with loss of movement around gear lever area, so best take covers off there fist to check.
From memory at gearbox end one ball joint was around 10mm and the other 12mm as the first set of cables was wrong so just check diameter at that end to be sure if changing cables.
