Hello all. I've recently picked up a 2015 Doblo 1.6 multijet (152k miles) but I'm having an issue with an 'insufficient oil pressure' dashboard warning.
I've seen a few other threads out there but it seems it could be one of many potential problems. Driven it a dozen times and below is my experience so far:

On first start oil light stays on for 3-5 seconds and dashboard warning comes on. Goes off and drives fine. Would repeat at end of day after sitting all day.
Had my mechanic look at it and he said nothing immediately obvious as it DOES seem to be getting oil pressure. Could be any amount of things so as long as it runs ok drive it for a bit before I start spending money and to get a better idea where the issue is.
Started it the other day and same thing as usual but when I start driving the dash warning comes on again. In the space of 30 seconds the warning came on another 4/5 times with the oil light flickering so I parked up and left it. The engine still sounded ok from what I remember.

Just looking for any ideas or anyone with a similar experience that might point me in the right direction. I've changed the oil and filter already and the levels are good.
Bought an oil pressure switch but not sure of it's location so haven't attempted that job yet.

Hope you're having a good festive time and many thanks for any help.

Ah ok, Thanks that wouldn't have occurred to me. I'll do a bit more digging on the computer box.

Not quite sure but I think some 1.6 multijet's had problems with the oil pick up gasket. When engine is warm/hot it seals better, but when engine is cold it leaks and lets the oil pump suck in air, giving you an low oil pressure warning.

Think it is a job you can do yourself, drop the oil pan, change gasket. Need to do some research but I think there is an aftermarket kit for better sealing o-rings for sale for instance; this one: https://tafmet.pl/english/repair-se...ncia-16-20-22-jtd-multijet-5902553474398.html

This bloke tells it perfectly:

Thanks for the info. Certainly seems like a possibility and the kit looks better than just a replacement seal. At 152k I guess it wouldn't hurt to do this anyway even as a precaution/preventative thing.
