Must have missed somsthing here my Airbag failure signal always flashing up cannot get rid of it what do you have to do ??????

Simply amazing. Thank you so much. I was really ready to get rid of the car this was annoying me so much! Get at least another year out of the old girl now, the grande punto will have go on the back burner again!

You've saved me untold amounts of cash here - brilliant.:)

hey i've just need to do this same problem...

1st i did under the 2 front seats with no such luck then i did the two in the boot i didnt spray them just reconnected both

(btw i dint think any one has said this but there is also another orange curcuit connector on the opposite side disconnected then re connected both)

will spray when its light again

but to say that it is now working after numerous starts from journeys without that dreaded beep wahoo...:):):)

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but I'm after some info.

My airbag light is on, I've tried the fix on the passenger side, still need to do the driver side.

What concerns me is the apparent lack of the OCS connector under the passenger seat. It's a 2003 MW so I'm wondering why it's not there! Can anyone tell me when Fiat stopped fitting the OCS mats?

Can't find this one?

May sound daft Decks, but is it in the same place on the MW? Next to the shock?

Also, problem still there after following procedure for both passenger and drivers side. Besides the connector in the boot, are there any other to check? And if it's not a connector what else could it be (besides the airbag ECU, I shudder to think how much that'd be!)?

That's why I was asking as perhaps they are in a different place in the MW?

You've checked the front pass airbag connector in roof door in lower glove box?

After the easy ones then there are connectors for the curtain air bags if you have them

side air bag connectors.JPG
and the front seat side air bag connectors

Then there's the impact detectors

But before messing with those and others it would be adviseable to get an air bag diagnostics done (FES can do it with the right connections) to see which one is causing problems

Cheers.

My how it's all changed! When I had my last Stilo you took your chances with a trip to the garage to read fault codes or by taking your chances with an ebay nasty!

I already have the software, I downloaded it the other day, but I'm yet to order the cable. I'll try and find the connector in the boot first though, and have another whack at the underseat connectors just to be sure.

Had the warning. Wiggled. All OK. Warning again, wiggled, cleaned, NOT OK. Rewired the connectors NOT OK.
Have now noticed a black connector hanging loose to left of Brake pedal. It has a BLACK wire with PURPLE line and a GREY wire with BROWN line just like the ones under the seat! Can't find where it is supposed to connect to (if indeed it is supposed to connect). Is it even anything to do with the airbag?
Hope someone is able to assist. Many thanks.:)

hi all im new to fiat since friday night and i too have this light i have cleaned the plugs left and right seats all 5 plugs and still the same  do any of you thing it has just gone and its past the cleaning stage or should i put new plugs on im stuck on cash for a bit now so everything needs to b cheap as chips since i just paid 480 for the insurance deposit (n)

the car is a stilo 52 reg 5 door

This emulator emulates signal of occupied passenger seat recognition sensor for FIAT Stilo.
Emulator shows that passenger seat is always occupied and airbags will deploy in the case of collision.

2 points;

1) if passenger airbag is faulty the remaining airbags will still deploy as it uses a different logic to other Fiats.
2) if airbag ECU thinks someone is in passenger seat (when they are not) then thats a new dashboards you will need after airbag detonation, very expensive!

Why not just get it fixed properly:confused:

Thats my issue, B-Pillar airbag fault, and passenger seat is faulty, so all are getting changed tomorrow at work

:)Fixed my airbag warning light thanks to this thread; it was the connector under the dirvers seat.
I was convinced it was the an OCS/passenger seat problem and wasted £50 odd on an emulator. This will be for sale shortly as will the Stilo!
I have owned three original Cromas, a Tipo,Ullysse, Coupe and have a Fiorino van and this is without doubt the worst Fiat I have ever had, shame as it does have some nice touches but too much electronic crap to go wrong.(n)

My sons 1.8 Dynamic has just developed the dreaded airbag fault. I feel partly to blame as I asked him to move a single mattress for me and he said he thinks it hit one of the side airbags as it went in.

He has linked it up to his computer but its saying no faults found so we cant even figure out which one it is - any ideas?
