Technical correct antifreeze/coolant for mk2

Anything you put in it will be better than it has now, don't go near Halfords unless you have a trade card, find a proper motor factors instead, should work out alot cheaper.

The Comma XStream G48 is actually green in colour, the same as normal blue stuff as far as I know though.

Blue is recommended but red is just as compatible imo, if it wasn't I would have two Pandas with no coolant and a big puddle on the floor. Anything you put in it will be better than it has now.

Have you checked to see what colour is actually is at the moment?

Will report back on colour later, think it's blue though

Checked the colour and it was green, so plumped for the comma xstream g48 £20 for 5 litres from local motorfactors :)

Took the top radiator hose off - clamp fitting snapped :

Couldn't get anywhere near bottom one so took the jubilee clipped hose off the engine [after taking airfilter off to make room] , flushed the system with water, no gunge or sludge just some discoloured fluid. :)

For the life off me I can't get at the jubilee clip to tighten up the hose with a screw driver, lost good portion of wrist skin in the radiator fins too

It's raining now so I've decided to get a nice little socket set to fettle the blasted jubilee clip seeing as the set at hand is of course missing the vital socket

Ah the joys of Panda Worrying on the drive. :p

Dropped in on my local friendly garage this morning to save me a trip into town for a hose clip, walked out with three jubilee clips of various sizes for free :)
Refitted top hose and engine hose without too much of a struggle, filled 50/50 mix, took less than 4litres which is less than the handbook says.
Started the engine and apart from a bit of belt squeak all's well.
Remembered after that to set heater position to full on  luckily it was :)
Topped her up and checked again for leaks, spin round the block, hot air present :)

Didn't realise how much I'd missed that little car, will get it booked in for a £99 underseal job next week, bugger the salt and the wet, I wanna drive my proper panda :D
