Panda (Classic) Charmanda(er) The Panda

Introduction

Name Change! Previously known as Charmania for anyone not in the know, she's had a slight rename, keeping the Char but sticking my favourite childhood Pokemon name in there, Charmander, mainly because the first time I ever encountered a Panda I was about 8 years old and Pokemon was my favourite thing in the whole world.

Some details,
1992 Fiat Panda 750 Mania
769cc FIRE engine.
Lowered 40mm.
Seicento Sporting Front Seats
Side Stripes for faster acceleration
Fiat 127 'Palio' Alloys.
Veglia Rev counter, so I can count my revs.

I washed her, wanted to take her somewhere nice for pictures but it hasn't been sunny for long enough to do that, so I'll get nicer pictures at some point....
Here she is now, Charmanda.

Sorry for the terrible lighting. Can't do much about the sun.
This is tempting, its so cheap, not sure why I assume something to do with the worlds shortest MOT and they know it won't pass for some reason. If the engine is fine however it'd be a perfect candidate.
I know its a 1108 and I should really look for a 1242 but Sei's are just cheaper than Puntos

If you're thinking of an 1108cc lump I might have one from a mk3 you could have cheap, but not sure what other parts you'd want as sold the engine bay wiring loom for example :bang:

Just might save you having to get and scrap car and get it transported etc. Although you might prefer to do this for other reasons.

I'd really want a complete car so I can get everything from the one car knowing that it all works with one another.
At the moment I'm just stupidly browsing waay in advance, doesn't make sense to get something this early, but thanks for the offer (y)

window shopping is fun, but you always find something that you want that you can't get yet - i did this with houses just this week - not in position to move just yet but found the house i want, nothing i can do about it right now though :( 134k is so cheap for a detached 3 bedroom house with separate study though its painful; lesson learned, stop looking on rightmove.

I used to be good at window-shopping Pandas... -- but seem to have lost the knack. I blame the bad influence of Palio, CLS and VmanC, personally....

Yours, founder member (unless Gavin, John and Vernon, etc. have already started it as some sort of clandestine organization, with secret handshakes...) of Pandaholics Anonymous... -- and on the Naughty Step, rather than any of the Twelve I should be on....

Where's the fun in keeping your money in a bank? They don't even let you count it. Much more fun to have Pandas to play with! (y)

Realistically it's not £400. It's £400 minus the engine and bits ( that you need) then whatever you can sell the remainder on for, even if it's just scrap you'll get £80ish. If you sell the complete interior, lights and other gubbins then you'll probably get another £200 so it's more like £120 which is a bargain.

I assume you have space to break it all apart?

My thoughts exactly, less assume the seller will knock £50 off the price anyway so £350, I need engine bits, loom etc. As you said I could sell lights, interior etc and make some back. I don't think £400 is too much?

What's this, homeward is buying us JD? Where and when? :p

Only those he made bets with

For piece of mind I'd like to pretend I have an alarm. Char' used to have an alarm but it never worked properly so Vern removed all the rubbish loom. I have got a little L.E.D poking through the top of the binnacle though. I'd quite like to set it up so it just flashes all the time? Surely this could be quite simple but I'm not sure what I need? Any info? :)

Wire it in directly to the battery, might be a flashing one already (y)
