General Bravo t-jet sport problem

Hi Guys,
Having a small problem with me 2007 T-jet 150 sport, Every time i hit a speed bump or a large bump in the road my accelerator cuts out and i have to take my foot off and back on to get any acceleration, its getting very annoying, any idea? many thanks

Check you don't have a badly adjusted brake light switch. If the car thinks you are braking, it will cut power. You could also check the wiring connection to your accelerator pedal is secure.

I agree, had the same problem...

so danielhose, was it the brake? any ideas how to fix it?

Mine was the brake, just got a new switch and was sorted, cost about R400 South African Rand

Glad i checked on the forum!

i have had this problem for a little while, on and off till it has become too frustrating; was all set to replace the mass air flow sensor as the symptoms seamed similar - forced loss of power etc.

but...by brake light has been funny for the same amount of time now i think about it, infact the whole pedal seems 'loose' and sometimes the switch catches to the lights stay on.

will try the break switch first and see

Just a quick one to confirm it was the brake pedal, failed MOT because of it, but had it replace and now there doesn't seem to be any problem with loss of power.

Sorry - the switch was the problem. However the pedal is still loose and might need tightening or replaced?
