Tuning Bravo 120 T-Jet TMC Tuning Box

Good Morning Everyone,

Has anyone had experience of the above?
I am considering this but want to know if anyone has actually used one, plenty of posts about 150's with it fit but not 120's?

No one got one? or a remap? Are Red Dot/GSR still about? Used to do decent fiat stuff have a GSR induction for the Cinq still looks good after all these years.

Pete is still around, spoke to him at Trax this year. He was running the RR and took extra shine to my Cinq

Dont think he's doing much with the performace parts side any more. I could be wrong but when speaking to him he seems to be heading away from it.

Have you searched the Grande punto section?

From what I understand any re-map of the t-jet 120 is limited in its effectiveness by the tiny turbo which runs out of puff. I think about 140bhp is max on the vl37 (not much gain as word is they produce nearer 130 standard). Most gp owners go for a vl36 or vl38 turbo upgrade (just bolt on) then a re-map. With everything else standard 170bhp seems to be the mark.

I think there are not many that do it because I think they get the 150 T-Jet instead tbh. Not really much point in 120 tuning when there is a 150 standard avaliable

Cant imagine the Auto box being great by pumping it full of power and shift for real acceleration gearshifting, probably why

I don't know if it's similar but I fitted a tuning box to my previous car - 120hp 1.6jtd MiTo. It delivered noticeable improvements but did cause heavy over-fueling sometimes causing big clouds of black smoke. It was worth trying but I wouldn't do it again to my 165T as it is powerful enough for me

Chip Express. Was a bit pricey as well but got 30k miles use out of it. I personally wouldn't recommend it as I'm not mechanically minded and I'm not that clued up on what to do if anything goes wrong!
