benny279 when i enter my car reg on parts websites and even when i entered the cars reg on my insurence company website it lists it as this "2005 FIAT PUNTO 16V DYNAMIC (MANUAL / PETROL)" yes its 2005 yes its a fiat punto, yes its 16v, yes its dynamic, but its a god damn automatic.... do not have the log book yet to check what it says in it, but the vin is correct and matches all the previous mot's mileage all checks out... just wonding why it's insisting its a manual on any website that looks cars up via reg plates? oh and no its not stolen i did have a check done on it :p and the reg plate matchs the vin, and the vin on the plate and the vin has not been removed and re attached hahaha

It's okay I had this problem.....

Seller told me mine was a Mia, was it? Insured it....comes up on askmid as Fiat Punto.......interesting so I questioned Fiat about this and they said sorry, but you have the lowest spec of them all...I was like oh lovely  I knew from that point I had to pinch some stuff from the higher spec models to compensate for sellers lies :D

noticed that ive got the same headunit as you but im havign problems wiring up my sub and was hoping you could help?
the sub is in the boot ive ran the positive lead to the battery with a fuse in it and its earthed in the boot but im having problems with the remote wire; it wont seem to shut off the sub when the radio is off ( i connected it to the purple OE remoe cable out the back of the hed unit)
and the stereo doesnt seem to be sending a signal to the sub, im using the RCA sub out put and have gone into the stereo settings and turned on the sub but there is no sound coming out
any ideas?
thanks in advance

hey!
right let me get this straight, youve wired the stereo and sub up, your not getting any sound from sub and its not powering off? if thats correct, did you buy a harness adapter for this stereo and the factory wires on this stereo will not work with the sub, you have to buy an harness adapter which i brought mine for around £8-10.
also, the remote wire is suppose to be wired to a blue wire which is known as the remote wire, so you will need an hardness adapter as i mentioned, once you got this adapter connect everything up and look on the adapter for a blue thin wire splice into that attach your remote wire from subwoofer tape it up for safety/protection reasons!
and you should all being well have sound out of the sub and the amp on the sub the standalone amp should receive signal from stereo whenever you power on or power off.
hope this was clear:)

yeah thats right,
ive got a harness adapter and thats connected for all the original car speakers but in addition to the wires which go to this harness there are 3 more; a blue one laebeled tel mute, a purple one labeled OE remote and a single RCA labeled sub out
can i not use these wires without a harness?

no those wires have no use im afraid, i tried this when i first brought mine to no success, buy the harness adapter for that stereo.
