I don't really have much future plans apart from completing my to-do list, then tidy her up a bit!

All comments and ideas are welcomed! :) :D
Funny thing is, it sounds as if it's pretty well looked after, mechanically; and -- if I didn't already have four FIATs sitting around -- would almost be tempted to buy it... as a joke.... (Especially as I'd never have to clean it....) :D

i think its safe to say your a big fiat lover:p i mean you'd have priscilla and a rusty punto, if they fail that on mot just say yeahhhhh.......its meant to look rusty cause its a fiat:devil:

so mitcar isnt that far round the corner:slayer:

so what have i been up to lately with my little punto?

well ill put this piccy up and leave it at that, all will be revealed at mitcar;)

now if anyone knew what my dashboard looked like before well then you know what's coming but until them im keeping stumped on this one for now:cool:

Some nice uniroyal Rain experts there or rainsports benny?

with the punto the back end is too light, it really does need stickier tyres to stop it wanting to wonder

I made my mrs put here Uniroyals on the back on her car, as they were newer and had more tread, the rears were there when it was made 3 years ago... so they need to be used up!

Also No passenger airbag benny? Why remove it? or are you in the rare group of punto's that doesn't have one?

ziggy

ive tried to switch them round but failed to do that on driver side due to i dont have 18mm socket as weird as it is, i have odd wheel nuts on my punto 17mm and 18mm:bang:

nope i dont have a passenger airbag, reason for above im restoring my dashboard because when i brought it, it always had faded paint and looked dreadful but its still not finished yet, gotta get another can of paint to finish it today, and will post piccy:)

my car does feel like it skates on ice so not sure how to go about that , but im still able to drive it and not crash:rolleyes:

so went mitcar and what a great day it was, met some new faces and old, good catch ups!:)

but here comes the bad news, on way home got on the m1 and the punto starts misfiring - loosing power quickly! clearly running on 3 cylinders..:(

so 2 hours later she was loaded onto a recovery truck so i could get home thanks to dombooth for sorting that! and rest cheering me up making me feel better:D Reuuk and carly , another guy ( didnt catch your name! ),

so later today i will be working on the punto to bring it back to life,, watch this space!

so this punto is at the end of the road.

did compression test and the results were

(dry - no oil)
cyl1 - 30psi
cyl2 - 31psi
cyl3 - 79psi
cyl4 - 100psi

(wet - with oil)
cyl1 - 31psi
cyl2 - 29psi
cyl3 - 241psi
cyl4 - 121psi

which leads to headgasket failure, so will be at some point be breaking this car for parts. once im ready to do that, it'll be up in the classifieds:)

RIP Punto!
