Since you do not want to listen and did not use a comparisson site as suggested, I did it for you. See picture.
As far as insurance goes; I am not familiair with how that works in the UK, but if they find a reason to not cover any damage, they most certainly will not. At least on this side of the channel.

What you do (or not do) with the info is entirely up to you.

this removes all doubt about the “under-reading” caused to the speedometer display

as an EU citizen I’m sure you already know that the EU adopted into EU law the absolute prohibition on speedometers under-reading the true speed

UK is the same

where the speedometer under-reading is caused by the owner modifying the vehicle (in this case replacing the factory wheels/tyres with different size/diameter wheels/tyres) the offence is prosecuted under the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, and if the car insurance is voided because of the illegal modification (which it almost certainly will be) the likelihood of also being prosecuted for driving without valid insurance (a very serious offence with penalties ranging from a fixed penalty of £300 and six penalty points on your license, or an unlimited fine, or a driving ban and your car seized and destroyed if the case goes to court)

even if the driver is not stopped by the police or involved in an accident, non-compliant wheels/tyres are an automatic MoT failure - so it will be found out one way or another

Yep. Don't "mess" with insurance companies. The consequences follow you around for years.
I had a prang weeks after buying my fist new car. It was 100% no fault of mine, but the first thing the insurance inspector did was check my car starting whith tyres and who knows, wheels. I agree be ultra careful to give them nothing to hold against you. We know the rules and the way they are applied soi there is no excuse. More to the point its totally socially unacceptable to drive without insurance. Its a moral duty to make sure you are always insured to compensate others for mistakes and accidents you may cause!!

Maybe (@ben) a nice addition for the Forum would be an option to let the OPs say "thanks, all answered now" and close their thread to further comments?
I had a quick look and nothing really available to do that.

TBH that's what the moderators are for :)

There is a way to automatically lock "Question threads" once an answer has been accepted, but that wouldn't apply here as that option wasn't selected when originally posting :)

Wee Question with regards Wheels Tyres folks. I currently have a refurbished lovely looking Set of 15" wheels and tyres for my 2015 Panda. The Queery I have for all you Experts, is the Following.
The Wheels are 98pcd and pretty sure et30, they were originally on a Chrysler Ypsilon (Basically same setup???) and although they have Tyres, they are infact 185/65/15 of which 2 are brand new and 2 are borderline for being changed. Now according to the Tyre Data for my wee Twin Air, there is infact a table for 185/65 listed as well as 185/55.

I don't see it listed on a 15" rim maybe I am missing something

Wrong ET

It's not going to kill you, but things like steering stability, self centering will not be as intended

You don't mention rim width

My question to all you fine Panda Addicts is, will it be OK to replace the 2 Tyres that are borderline or will I have to go down to the 55series profile, bearing in mind, I understand the higher profile will probably put my speedo reading around 3mph slower than I am actually doing, and the fact that the Higher 65series profile should technically make it a wee bit softer ride than the 55series and perhaps the Height difference may also help with those flippin Speedhumps that wreck all the bottoms of our cars for sure.
I know that the GPS on my phone reads approx 4mph slower than my speedo does at the moment and that is with standard 165/65/14 tyres
Cheers Folks. (Wee) Jimbo.

Putting a none standard wheel and tyre combination will need to be declared to you instance company here in the UK

There is nothing in law preventing you from fitting different tyres front to rear, but from a safety point of view it's not a good idea, braking and handling will be effected

Fiat spend thousands of hours testing tyre and wheel combinations, under different conditions, snow, ice, rain, fast corners, sharp corners, smooth roads, bumpy and so on, yes there's a bit of leeway, and it's up to you what you fit

A3jereon: Sorry, but at no time have I said " I do not want to listen!!!" Plus at no time did I say that I have not checked the comparison site. Like I stated previously, I came on here to ask a simple question with regards an Alloy wheel/ Tyre size , to which I thank everyone who replied for their Input , but I am now receiving more info to do with informing my Insurance company of any changes and the consequences it may lead too if I didn't.
I realise this, and have informed my insurance of my intentions (As per the snippet in my attachment), Just as I have with all my previous vehicles that I have made changes too.
Plus If I "Had Not" checked the comparison sites as you for some reason suspect I haven't then I would not have found out the information with regards possible speedo errors . But once again, I thankyou all for you input, and will leave you all in peace to lecture fully grown Men about insurance and how important it is. As Stated previously. ......
I know how important it is, I've Been insuring vehicles since 1977 (76 if we include my 1st Moped)
Once again, Thankyou, think it's time for me to leave now....

It’s a shame that new member @Wee Jimbo has been subjected to the extended barrage in this thread. I think the question has been answered (more than once) and a few other points clearly made too. Time to leave it.
I’ve belonged to the Fiat Forum since 2007. The regular team of knowledgeable owners and helpful contributors has been very useful and I hope my own inputs fit with that. Recently it’s started to lose some of its appeal…. I hope this is only temporary and the helpful friendliness returns.

@jrkitching - any thoughts?

Jimbo. I only mentioned the wheels/insurance thing because my son fell foul of it. It's the sort of thing you don't necessarily think off. Souped up engines, lowered suspension and the like are obvious but simply fitting different wheels? maybe not so. No offence intended, was just trying to alert anyone reading the thread of the possible implications. Kindest regards. Jock

The OP seemed determined on a course of action that could be catastrophic for him, hence a final effort to encourage him to think again. It is unhelpful to berate others for making every effort to encourage an OP to rethink such actions - that is surely what all responsible members should do.

Berate not those who berate others, for theirs is righteous beration 😊

Not sure if my messages are welcome anymore but, Herts Hillhopper , PuggitAuldJock etc etc, I did appreciate your input, and for that I thank you all. But, Think I'll just stick to the Fiat Panda UK page from now on. No offence to Herts Hillhopper, PuggitAuld Jock etc or anyone else who genuinely replied with some excellent comments
(Wee) Jimbo.
