Hello my Learned friends.

Thank you all for the help and information you all supply and if it wasn't for you lot I fear a good chunk of the ducato population would already have left us!!!

My problem is when I take off normally everything is ok but if it's under heavy load ( steep hill start etc) there's a rumbling under my feet accompanied with a loud noise. Does anyone know what it could be and how to fix it.

Thank you in advance

Victor

Can you describe the noise?

Is it a cracking noise?

Clicking?

Knocking?

It's a type of noise similar to one of the rapid fire aeroplane. Like if you tried to stop a tractor tyre with a plank of wood 🪵

Possibly cv joint inner or outer . Hard to tell from a distance

Find an empty car park and drive slowly on full lock one way then the other way.

When badly worn the outer CV joint will make a clicking noise like a stick on a bicycle wheel, the inner joint will give the felling of the front lifting up and down.

From your description it sounds like the outer joint.

Thank you lads. It's not a CV joint I know what that sounds like and it normally starts when you rightfully said when on full lock.
This isn't like that it's like something vibrating under the floor on the driver side. I'm baffled

inner cv joint, very different sounds to outer cv
clutch judder ?

The clutch is very high and she's done 90000 without a clutch change. Does this help. She pulls fine and only makes the noise/vibration when asked to go go go under load. This doesn't matter whether left, right or straight.

Thanks Jackwhoo

Is the issue occurring when foot fully off clutch pedal?
