There is no manifold adaptor!:bang:

What has been done, traditionally, is to make up a plate to fit to the T15 (from, say, 8 or 10mm mild steel) and weld it onto a cut down manifold. This isn't a particularly easy welding job as you're joining two dissimilar metals.

Nor is it the best way to do it

And the different expansion rates must lead to cracking over time

i know about the adapter plate but i cant make one up myself, thats what im saying. basically i baught soozuki steves old low comp vad block but there was no origional vad parts that come with other than the sump with the oil return pipe. turbo is a garett t15 and the intercooler is off a 2.0L mondeo.

So i need a 2" bob and manifold adapter plate, all the custom parts that normally came with the engine.

either if someone can knock some up or maybe give me the dimensions, sizes etc so i can get some one to make them for me.

cheers

Yes, I got a bob and injector and some other bits you can have first dibs on, but, I'm not sure when/if the manifold will be available, or even if it will fit. (I want to make up a "proper" tubular one, but no idea when I'll get around to it.)

As per the turbos, the issue is really which T15 you have (they were used in several applications, most of the VAD ones seem to be from the Astra 1.7 van, but by no means all). If you can find the part number, I can probably check which you have (it will be on there somewhere).

if i dont sell it to someone im waiting on i have allot of the kit from the spi highboost that is being ditched, due to going 1242 mpi highboost have the mf2, thor racing fcd, fse rising rate regulator, green injector for plenum chamber, and an ebc clutch but no manifold :p

Hi guys, sorry for the lack of updates!

Have moved into my own place now with the mrs. and have no 'tinternet yet :( literally just got back on to the cinq as i built a 20' x 11.5' concrete sectional garage in the garden! :slayer: and had to redecorate the whole house :rolleyes: Back on to the cinq now (hence the sale of bits on here and such) the sale of the bits on here is helping to raise funds for a new cinq sporting to be the tub, the abarth shell is going for scrap as I was rubbing it back for a bare metal respray and found nothing but filler and WELDS where rear panel sections had been replaced. Will be looking for a good body cinq as soon as I get the money in from these parts! I have my MS and relay board now and have the wiring pretty much sorted in my head and on paper! have the brake calipers for front and rear too! Just need to get the stilo flywheel now (£161 from fiat!) and stilo clutch kit!

Updates should start coming thick and fast soon! as soon as i get my hands on another cinq!

good to see, i thought you'd given up - and when i saw you selling all them bits.. :eek:

sorry i didnt catch you on MSN before, i'm not about much on there (back from uni now!)

No not giving up on this! Just a shame that shell was sh*te! Got lots of bits being collected this weekend so should be on the lookout for a cinq soon, still not sure what to do, options are;

- Buy a good sporting complete, good body, good paint, drop the engine out, wire up the MS, put the turbo engine in and do the brakes.

- Buy a shell, get all panels good from panels I have about etc. rub down and respray it and then do the engine and brakes etc.

At the moment i'm leaning towards the first option!
