Yeh good point harey, I like the look of the samco so that why I went for that plus one elbow does the kit and the silicone pipes gives it a bit of flex.

In regards to Harey's post.....Yes the air intake pipe from a 1.1 or 1.2 does fit.

It has a slightly smalled diameter to the 100HP pipe but it slides into the second part of the 100HP one.

I've had it on for a few weeks, feels like no more power but gives a nice noise and its very cheap if you can track the part from a breakers.

I'll put a picture up tomorrow!

Looks like I made a slight balls up ordering 90mm ID on the silicon hose.... Grr.

However I will see if it will still work with that if not ill order the smaller hose.

Just waiting on the clips to turn up.

Have you guys considered cutting out some of the "honeycomb" from the grill to improve cool air flow?

I don't know if you know but its not only honeycomb that you will have to cut. There is a reason why honeycomb is solid near badge. Because there is a solid bumper behind it, you will have to cut that too. :devil:

I saw some one in Europe get long S shape silicone and run it down towards passenger side fog light and cut holes in that honeycomb. Think his idea was since pipe exit so low and box so high water wont come up to it.

Ok some issues here. The opening for the filter box is not round it's oval so the seal isn't perfect.

Ok test drive notes, I'd say slight freer revs.

Discernibly gruntier engine note from 2k but really developing from 3k.

Not overly happy about the imperfect fit but happy enough for now.

If you get the correct 80mm silicone pipe it fits the oval airbox intake perfect.
