Very Nice, but i would have chosen black silicone hoses. ;)

Cheers, wanted blue to match the car and stand out as I always had planned to do the main intake pipe also!! Spices it up abit :D

After searching though this forum and seeing all the different air filter setups available and issues people have had with them (or what people have told them they will have)
They seem to have issues ranging from water damage to the engine for low position of uprated air filter, having to clean out the filter housing the new uprated filter comes in, position of air filter over exhaust, length of intake pipe, and cost.
I thought I would share my mod, I have kept the original set up and I added a BMC panel filter a few months ago, I have now replaced the standard air intake pipe with a silicone alloy combo and i'm well happy with the results! The new induction noise is amazing really deep and all in all the one 90 degree silicone pipe, alloy connection pipe, and 3 jubilee clips cost around £27 off ebay! If anyone wants the specs of pipe let me know and will be happy to share! (y)

I will attempt this with my 1.2 ltr.
Have a K&N panel filter inside, maybe a bigger snorkel would bring something.

Maybe even making the airbox entrance bigger.

I can't believe I've just ordered the bits for this. Haven't modified an NA car in years. Hope the wife's likes it as much as the K&N I stuck on my Sedici's back in the day.

Will be fitting after Christmas along with the konis

Same as me 32 years old and going old skool modding!!! :D

Fitted this today. Worthwhile having some silicon spray to help ease everything into place.

Results when driving are alright. Engine note benefits from a bassy induction note at full throttle but gentle driving sounds standard. I don't think it'll encourage me to hoon as I've already got one noisy car but it does remove some of the gutlessness that the car suffered from when pushing on.

For £30 its defo worth it.

Just fitted mine following these instructions. Impressed so far, is it worth changing the panel filter? if so what for?

this might be a really stupid question but, is the different in the two pipes just ones got baffle rings in it (standard one) and one is smooth?
