Hi All

In the middle of changing the clutch. All is goig well so far. I am using the Fiat workshop manual for the 2.3JTD but there seems to be some variation between what the manual states and whats on the vehicle.
Any hints or tips on the following would be appreciated.

1 In the manual it states that the clutch lever shaft can be pulled by a simple tool made up of pipe, washer and a 6mm x 55mm long bolt.
I cant see where this screws into. There is a black insert in the end of the shaft that refuses to come out. Does this hide the M6 thread?

2 Will the housing come away from the engine block with the activation lever in place?

3 If someone has changed a clutch on a 54 plate vehicle can the clutch housing and gearbox be lowered using a simple transmission jack?

4 The gear activation leaver is attached to the end unit mounting support bracket. The manual states this lever is removed by a single M8 nut. I have taken that off but cant see how it comes out.

Any help would be appreciated
