Technical Ducato 2.3JTD 2014 EURO5 catalytic converter removal

I am replacing the DPF, but bought new one together with catalytic converter in a pristine state that I would like to replace.

Do you have an idea if it needs to be replaced from the top or the bottom?

If from the bottom is it possible to take it out without removing the subframe?

Have you checked the eLearn and / or the aftermarket workshop manual? both are available in the download section of the forum. You can search by the 'ducato' keyword.

Good shout thanks. I've checked it and it doesn't seem to tell much about surroundings, they simply say "undo bolts, remove the filter" and drink champagne

If any of you have experience with that, I would appreciate any info. Otherwise I guess I will have to deal with it somehow on the cold evening outside.

I've checked in my non-factory workshop manual, but what it shows on the diagram looks completely different as the part on the photo you've posted. So probably the removal / installation description is different, too.
