Hi guys!

I'll keep it short(ish), my Ducato 244 2.3JTD has been driven very little in the last year, so I've serviced it and now when I start it... It idles perfectly for about 10 mins and then the engine dies. I get check engine light and P0191 code. I can start it again and it'll conk out after about 30 secs or a minute over and over again. So i replaced the fuel pressure sensor, to no avail - exactly the same result. I plugged it in to multiecuscan and I get a few weird results:

  • Fuel pressure sensor signal - 0% (it clicks when activated manually)
  • Oil Pressure - not OK
  • Water in fuel - Yes (it has been sat for ages - condensation in tank?)
  • Boost control/solenoid - 0% (buzzes constantly and gets warm)
  • Boost pressure - 200mbar (fixed figure)
  • Desired boost pressure - 0mbar
  • Air intake quantity - 65 mg/i (more or less, which is much lower than the 'desired' figure)

The EGR was blanked by the previous owner and I'm not sure what reprogramming has been done, but there are no warning light or faults - but the EGR does open when revved.

Last thing: Fuel pressure seems to be spot on - 265bar. There's no hesitation from the engine, it starts everytime without issue.

ANY IDEAS OR ADVICE ? vacuum issue? fuel delivery? electrical?

Bonus info:
Recently I have:
flushed the refrigeration system (replaced corroded core plug),
replaced 2 coolant sensors,
replaced the fuel pump and relay, cleaned fuel system, filter change.
oil change,
filters...etc.
New battery and new battery terminals
New PCV valve.

Thanks for reading!

Update:

Changed - boost control solenoid.
- cam position sensor.
- as many earths as I can find cleaned, and cables replaced where necessary.

Van ran for a while... took it for a drive. Quite a bit of white(ish) smoke then it stalled, P0191 code again. I started it again and tried to drive it up a ramp on the driveway and it conked out... never to start again.

I changed the High pressure pump - A fun Sunday. Still no joy.

It cranks, I get no fuel pressure at the rail and I get no warning lights or codes on the scanner. I've tried both keys.

The fuel regulator isn't opening and allowing the rail to get pressurised it seems. It clicks when manually activated on the mutiecuscan.

Any ideas?
