I've moved to Czech Republic where car undergo quite strict emission tests.
Cars without DPF or damaged DPF simply won't pass test. It's not like in the UK (if things hasn't changed recently) or Norway, where if DPF is visually present and car has an engine intact it will pass.
I haven't realized that I don't have DPF until I couldn't find any parameters using Multiecuscan. I've checked ECU only to find out that DPF was removed. I've reprogrammed it back, so I could check diff pressure sensor reading. It's 0mbar on idle, on high RPMs it sometimes goes to 1-2mbar, which says that DPF must be empty inside (even though it looks untouched).
Now, I am trying to understand if there are any reputable aftermarket DPFs on the market or I should rather get an used one. New one from Fiat is prohibitively expensive.
DPF doesn't just need to be present, it must pass rigorous particle emission tests.
Do you have any experience with aftermarket DPFs, e.g. Asso?
