Ok, going to be creating a Bravo FAQ from all the useful info we've collected. To make it a bit more exciting I'll be offering some prizes to go to 3 random contributers.

So have a look through the section, find the little straight forward questions which come up again and again and post them in this thread in Q&A format.

e.g.

Q: What is the Bravo's fueltank capacity.
A: 58 litres which includes 8 litre reserve.

Where the answer will be trim specific please try to cover ALL versions.

A. Active Sport and Dynamic

Q. Which models have ESP with Hill Holder as standard?
A. Sport model only. However it is an option for all other models.

Q. Which models have Blue&Me as standard?
A. Dynamic and Sport models. However it is an option for Active and Active Sport models

Q. What are the quoted 0-62mph times?
A: 1.4 16v 90 - 12.5seconds
1.4 16v 120 T-Jet - 9.6 seconds
1.4 16v 150 T-Jet - 8.5 seconds

Q: How do you connect to the AUX input on the basic CD radio?
A: Go on Fleabay via this link: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/G-M-Production and search in the shop for Bravo 2007. You need the lead and the radio removal keys, so being as the pound is worth about the same as a pound of manure at the moment, together these will set you back about £40. Wait about a week, then install in 2 minutes. Enjoy(y)

Ignition Feeds for aftermarket headunit install:

This is for those who are looking to install an aftermarket headunit into the new Bravo. Most aftermarket headunit's work with an ignition feed in order to have the unit turn on and off in relation to the engine/ignition on the car i.e. when you turn the engine off the headunit automatically turns off also and vice versa.

The Bravo doesn't have an ignition feed as the units auto on/off feature is controlled by the Can-Bus feature on the car.

There is a can-Bus adapter available (Thanks to Trekster for finding it).................

But at £50 it's an expensive method for such a small matter.

So the cheap and easy solution is to create your own ignition feed to the new headunit. The obvious place to tap into an ignition feed is back at the ignition barrel itself. But that involves removing of a number of interior panels etc and is a bit time consuming.

Anyway I got the multi-meter out and started looking for a wire that became live when the ignition was turned on in and around the area of the headunit.

I didn't need to look far. Right above the unit there is the hazard switch. This has a wire that goes live when the ignition is turned on and works perfectly. Makes the job a whole lot easier. (Coloured Blue/White on my Bravo) but check with a multi-meter on your own to be safe and make sure you have the correct wire.

If you place your hand up between the two air vents, directly behind the hazard switch, you will feel the wires and plug. The plug just pulls out by pressing down on the retaining clip on top of the connector to release it.

If you splice a wire from the ignition feed on the hazard connector and connect this to the ignition wire on your headunits supplied harness (Usually an ISO) and then connect the new headunits permanent feed wire to the permanent feed wire on the original Bravos connector it should give you a fully working headunit that turns off when you turn the car off and on when you start the car up.

*** Always check wires with multi-meters to check you have the correct wire before commencing work. Wire colours can vary from car to car even when the vehicle models and age are the same! ***

What is Bravo's typical fuel consumption?
1.6 Mjet (105hp) city: 6.3 highway: 4.1 mixed: 4.9

The wheel bolts for 16" steel wheels and for factory fit alloys are exactly the same. A 16" steel with the standard fit 205/55R16 tyre just fits in the spare wheel well if you want a "proper" spare to replace the fix&go kit. Also, if you need a jack & wheelbrace kit, the one off an old Bravo/Bravo does the trick, easyto find on Fleabay.
 
Hi all, I was wondering what type of brake calipers are used on a 120 T-Jet?...I know it may seem like an odd question as I find the braking adequate but was toying with the idea of changing to slotted discs, just beacuse it would look preety neat :yum: and some added braking force could come in handy on the twisties :rolleyes:. In case any of you are wondering Tarox and EBC both have disc upgrades for the Bravo. Am leaning slightly towards the Tarox kits looks a little sexier to me and doesn't stand out too much, but opinions are greatly appreciated aswell as any info.
