I found this post, it shows the frame (underside) of a Grande Punto

This is for Punto, should it be similar to Bravo as well? That is great though, so along the orange lines and the orange dots, it'd be safe to lift the car and/or use axle stands as well? Thanks

I'd still use something which spreads local load, like some piece of flat sturdy wood between the jack and that subframe box. Axe stands often have two ends pointing upwards, I wouldn't thrust that subframe to support the pointy loads of the axle stands without local bending or damage. The problem remains: where to put those axle stands?

Precisely lol, I've checked the gallery of the link above and shows a few places with axle stands and wooden blocks on it, sounds better then axles on the sills 😨

My previous car was an Audi A2, it'd holes built in the side frame by lifting points, it's jack had a round end which fitted over the hole, all solved. Looks like I need to gather all the infos and see what's going underneath. Cheers

I've got sport sill covers as well, cheers for the info, are they difficult to remove?
Iirc there were 2 types used - factory fitted or the official Fiat accessory type. The accessory type is I believe bonded on.

I have the factory fitted type, they're not bonded on so are easy to remove.
Each sill cover is held in place by approx. 6 *screws* (8mm head size) underneath the sill, plus a similar number of plastic trim clips (similar to door card clips) attached to the inside of the sill trim that enter factory holes punched in the sill.
So to remove a sill cover, first remove the screws underneath, then gently pull sill cover outwards not upwards (I usually start at the front end and work backwards), it should pop off as easily as removing a door trim card.
The *screws* mentioned above fit it into those Fiat plastic captive nuts that fit into square holes punched in the underneath of the sill.

Sounds annoying lol, but if necessary that's what it is, I'll have a look hopefully it's a bolted on one, cheers for the info.

Here's page 189 from the Bravo Owner's Manual re 'Jacking the Car' (as I promised in post #8)

Yes I've seen it cheers, but it's ridiculously vague, also I'd never trust placing axle stands on the side sills, especially mine's got the sport skirts too. Fortunately others have posted a lot of details, plus in the gallery of those links, shows others had placed wooden blocks to help spreading the weight.

Just to add more info, Autodoc YT video showing a Bravo 198 lifted ONLY by the sill points. That's a tad crazy imo, I get the control arms zone is forbidden lifting point, marked by red lines, but why not use the boxes I've marked with green arrows?

They'd be safe to jack up and hold the car, or am I wrong, and only the side sills must be used? Feels overtime that may damage the frame, watching this gives me anxiety 😨

Those are the points in green I use with suitable jacking equipment.:)

I've changed to winter tyres, so just an update, in case anyone comes across this thread.

Lifting the car by the sills as shown in the manual, can be stressful especially when a car is over a decade old. But with Bravo 198 ('07-'14) fortunately is better made.
The sill lifting points have to be very close shown in manual, see images shown earlier, also on the sport skirts there's even marks showing the right location.

You also know this, and it's important, by seeing/feeling a small raised box behind that lifting spot, this has been mentioned earlier, the factory jack made for it, rest of the sill has a more flat area.

My car unfortunately has partly bent front lifting points, possibly due garages had been lifting incorrectly, so try placing the jack as close to that raised/box area as possible, or you may damage the underside, I even gently side-hammered the jack, so it sat closer to it.

There's a lot of plastic underneath, I assume hence the garages lift the cars by this spot as well.
