General Engine Start Button

I can't see the point in push button engine starting/stop. I have had them on all of my recent every day modern cars, including my present one but if you still have to insert a key, or rather an oblong bit of plastic, before pressing the button to start then its just another thing to do. Push start buttons are, in my opinion, just a gimmick to make things look "retro".

i was thinking to put it under dash's plastic cover, right above your right leg. or even drill hole in center console near radio. not sure yet. the best position will be instead of "hazard" button between air vents.

it's just decoration part as Richpea said. but if somebody know what wires to use, i had to follow key barrel wires... but if somebody did that it will be helpfully. also will be good to add some fuse.

found some buttons on eBay, but 20£... i think it's overpriced, there should be cheaper.

I like the last one. The same like bmw.
But as you said. They don't add any more function as the key does the same job.

it will be like this, no more clock here... it's dead anyway.
