Those who've been around for a while would know how painful it has been. Well here's another stab in the heart

And the bonnet no longer aligns anymore..

Anyone know how many years I would get for first degree murder?

Over here it would be 6 months jail then 2 weeks in Spain.

It used to be a Lifetime in Australia.... or was that for nickin a loaf of bread? :D So I guess you should be sent to the UK Luvduvs....

Got a quote from a repairer to be ~$1,000 and will take 4 days - covered by insurance.

Damage wasn't actually that bad on the outside after the dirt was wiped off :)rolleyes:), but its obvious the piece of panel had been pushed up so it no longer aligns with the bonnet. The black plastic clip that extends from the headlight has also buckled upwards.

Hope the wheel/tyre is ok..

Went to collect car in car park after work and a note was on the windscreen apologising that she had hit my car.

Can't get much more bad luck than that - I park really early in the morning so there would have been plenty of spaces everywhere, yet she decided to park next to me. And I ALWAYS choose the space on either left or right, and as far as possible from the middle.

Was pleasantly surprised though - didn't think people these days had the courtesy to leave notes - most just speed off.

unlucky mate should all be repaired through insurance tho, although thats alot of hassle most of the time anyway.

That is really unlucky. :(

I'm so weary of where I park, and that goes for all my ****boxes I've owned previously.

It comes down to respect. Though yeah, at least they did leave a note.

Still sucks. :( You deserve a beer (another one from me. I still owe you my first one).

It is going through insurance - its getting assessed by the insurer on the weekend and have semi-booked it with the repairer next week as long as the insurer approves it.

Well she said she was in a rush to get to work; but still she must had been a really s**t driver given how far away I parked my car to the next spot.

Since when did you owe me a beer? ;)

its a big pity she didn't make a better job of it.... i've been keeping tabs on your probs on the tech page (is this luvduvs 3rd and final etc) you could of claimed it was the accident that was causing your wheel alignment problem, making the insurance firm to sort that problem too!!

I told you, you deserve a beer in another thread about your issues with the car vs dealer. You deserve a beer just for putting up with all this crap. And now you get a bad, but courteous driver do this to your car.

Plus. Beer fixes everything.

That actually did cross my mind for a moment, but the thought of getting thrown in jail for fraud changed my mind..

if you pay for my flight to sydney, I'll come set fire to it so you can get a new one:D

I can set fire to my car myself thank you very much! :p

LOL

this was a truck straddling the road on a downhill.

Maybe if I intoxicate myself enough I might wake up the next day to find all this is just a bad dream.. :chin:

I don't mind a beer though - if you're interested give me a PM :)

Got the car back yesterday - overall a job quite well done - could no longer tell that the panel had been damaged.

However noticed last night the gap between the bonnet and the panel is quite large - could actually see inside the bonnet - so will take it back for them to adjust.

(And they adjusted the passenger door as well - now it aligns quite well)
