Depending on fuel price where you are, that's not horribly bad - maybe low 40s.

I understand the figures are really poor when the lambda sensor indicates lean mixture all the time (low voltage is lean mixture), as the ECU just gives more fuel than needed.
That condition kills catalysers too.

Catalysts??..........isn't the lambda some sort of dance???
What's it all got to do with Panda's???
There's only one question in this life:.

How fast up hill?
How far can you lean over in it?
How easy is it to break?

sorry........don't do sums

:yeahthat:

I got mine up to 86 once, everything rattled over the glove box thing, steering felt like the front of the car only weighed about four grams, then my bottle went before I shot through back to 1986.

Got Grand Turismo for my birthday and of course the first thing I did was buy a panda....

Got the 1990 Super i.e. upto 96 on the Nurburgring....

A lot cheaper and safer than doing it for real. Lol

just got the panda selecta up to 91mph, which aint bad for a car with iffy injectors (brakes were sorted before test :D). i would have gone faster but i ran out of road.

test was done on disused airfield near morpeth, northumberland.

h he he i got a black panda 1000 cl with a four speed gear box and i got 87 out of it

im 13 u see and hey i only had a 3 mile farm track to go on

btw its my first car and it more fun to drive than a mer :) c

Its the thread that just refuses to die. The A697 in northumberland on the downhill bits was good for 100 if my old 1000cl. At least thats what the speedo read

Thought I'd add mine - 95 out of my 1992 750 with the wind blowing behind me a fair bit and on a downhill gradient. Im sure if the wind blew a bit faster and the hill was steeper I could manage 96!

i see everyone doign so well, seing as i have a rev counter i noticed mine was reving at 5,000 doing about 98 downhill, its 91 carb. is there something wrong with it?

It should rev to 5250 at the very least, since that's where it produces it's power peak. Mine revved to 6600.

After giving it a thorough service and spending that week treating it gently to get it used to various bits and bobs, I managed to get the needle past 100. But it was horrible and I'll never do it again, the Panda is not a drag racer and time lost on the straight bits can be very easily made up round the bends. :)

The fastest I ever take it to now is 85, and the peak power in 5th is at 68mph (it growls the most here). Woooo.

I have just bought a 1108 selecta and drove it home, 170miles. i managed to get the needle off the clock, 100mph. and i feel that wasnt fast enough. so with fresh coolant, plugs, leads and a remap, and some brake and wheel treatment, im sure it will have to have a new speedometer!!! :D

....a brave man!

not too sure abouttop speed but my 92 selecta did 85mph without much mechanical problems... the biggest problem was the noise from the wind and road etc... too load to have a conversation even shouting

sounds like we need to make a 1242 or 1388 panda then and top speed it!!!
anyone actually running a 1242 or 1388 in a panda?? UAD motorsports tried it(y)
