General Your Panda's 'unofficial' top speed?!

When ever I am on the motorway I always cruise at 70/75. If i go over this, thats when the car starts to shake!

You are crazy doing over that I would probably kill myself doing that speed in my 999cc Fire Panda!

did the 750 have shorter gearing than the rest of the fire panda`s i.e the 1000cc and the 1.1?

According to "Haynes" - yes.

Gear ratios the same, but the final drive ratios are:
3.867:1 on the 0.999 litre
4.231:1 on the 0.767 litre

Have your tyres' balancing checked more frequently to avoid the "shaking"...and your shocks are important too;)

Do I turn fast enough!?

AFAIK as picture above, but without the hole in the bumper, is standard.

What sort of positive pressure exists behind there at speed I couldn't say... perhaps I aught to get my vacuum/pressure gauge piping in there. The gauge does +1 Bar to about -2 Bar, on a 90mm dial :)

All pandas have them but without the hole in the bumber.. Its behind the left side of the bumber exactly where kevin drilled the hole. ya could just extend this to the bumper and make a hole for it but i doubt it would make much difference and make your bumber look shocking [xx(] (might as well try it then ;p )

There is one seriously quick Panda in existence, whilst I don't know its exact top speed, I know it has beaten a 500BHP Nissan Skyline over a standing 1/4 mile. :D

would be cool if you guys could try it to see if it makes much of an improvment I did somthing like this to a 1989 susuki RGV 250 motorbike which made it a bit quicker be nice to see other peoples input maybe start a new thread?

113 down-hill with a tail wind. 100 is achievable on the flat with the 999cc dependant on whether you have a cat strangling power from you or not.

I read in Retro Car magazine that the FIRE engine is capable of producing 8000 revs.

I've also now done over a ton with a mate in the car (so there!)

it has to be driving down the A64 from Malton, theres a big steep hill a few miles before you hit the york ring road, I think i made it upto about 95 down there, but i slowed down when things started to shake!

Yes, it's capable of this but it needs an appropriate camshaft,exhaust,intake...and I think its duration will be considerely reduced!

<--Can my face look like this if I meet a Danish and/or a Swedish supporter!?

I can get my needle way past the 160km/h mark while testing my turbo setup at 4psi:D. It´s just too bad the hedgasket always breaks after about 20 mins of driving even less if i keep boosting. estimate way over 100hp. It does shake a lot, imagine a panda with no supension driveing on flat tires:p.
Can´t wait to have te bugs ironed out.
btw i have 2 Pandas my spare 1000cl(lab rat for my turbo) and my 750cl(converted to 1000cl with an engine swap)

This proves it does not run out of revs (considering that both my Pandas have 750cl gearboxes) but simply lack the power once they reach 120km/h(~70mph)

I've achieved 10mph sideways at an angle of 40%+....does this count ?[)]

HHmmmmmmm

I've seen very few mention you made it to the big 100 which surprises me. I hit this speed several times on a motorway journey if a floor it and holding 85 is not a problem.. Is my record of 114mph on the autobahn a panda record?? lol. Are the fuel injection pandas really that much more powerful or is my car just special? :D

How did you get that result if the gauge doesn´t go that high? I´ll probebly get higher speeds with another trannyas i now have the power:D(i´mtalking about my stock 1000cl not the turbo wanna be[}:)].)
