Mine were Philips bulbs :) I replaced them with Philips Motovision bulbs

Actually I have no idea what mine (new are) They are 'official' VW parts since I bought it from the Audi dealer.

And yes low dipped low beam the same!

Yes sorry about the heatlights!
Btw got blinded by a Posrche Cayenne (obviously xenon) so i am guessing that stock xenon and aftermarket xenon blind equally!

Xenon self levelling lights !! why would they blind you? there is a difference between stock and aftermarket.

Why people don't complain about mal adjusted normal lights blinding ?

Because they're bright and they sometimes shine in your eyes?

I dont think self levelling is as good as it is made out to be. I have been blinded many times by stock Xenons i just think its because they are so much powerful. Normal halogens a bit also but not as much as the xenons! I think aftermarket isnt that bad! And besides my settings for my lights is at zero since i never overload the car and no one has complained to me about blinding so i dont think i need that self levelling unless i fill my car with wine!

Oh and one more question. You know xenon lights have that circle thing where the normal light would be it looks lets say like an eye. If you do an aftermarket conversion will you have the same looking bulb?

HIDs guys please. I've xneons in the Stilo!

Tbh 99% of the time there is no issue with the OEM (stock) fitted HID kits and they're self levelling system, the time they will cause issues is when driving around certain right hand bends towards them and when there comin over the crest of a hill. Now unfortunately the way physics work there is nothing that can be done to stop the beam pattern dazzling you in these cases short of turning the lights off tbh.

Therein lies the problem. Whereas conventional lights have a fairly gentle spread of light, the cutoff between having very little light going into your eyes and having a shedload is a lot. Hence why on undulating roads or over crests, HID's are blinding.
