I’ve searched for answers but not been able to conclude.

My blue&me is working, however I’m installing an aftermarket radio, so I don’t need it.

I have MES.
I want the steering wheel controls to work and radio comes with canbus adapter and ability to learn buttons.

My question is, do I need to disconnect the blue&me or can I just leave it?

I'm in the same boat with an upcoming upgrade to my car's audio system. My Blue&Me is working fine but will be largely redundant for connecting phones. However I have the FIAT/TomTom satnav in it's bracket on the dashboard and I'd like to still be able to access its Eco and fuel consumption data screens so I want to keep the Blue&Me modele connected.

They are prone to failure of course but I'll worry about that if it happens... 🙃
