Hello everyone,

I've recently bought a 2015 Fiat 500 1.2S.

Im looking to replace the head unit with the Xtrons unit with Carplay etc and apparently I have to unplug the Blue and Me module beside the rear speaker.

I hear that the mileage will blink afterwards which needs diagnostic software to do some sort of alignment.

Can anyone tell me the name of the software? How much it is? and where to get it? Also is it straight forward to use?

I've no problem taking the unit out and installing the new one, just don't want to mess the car up as I've just got it and it's for my daughter.

Hopefully someone can help.

Many Thanks.

It is Multiecuscan. I paid 50 € two years ago for the full version. You also need the USB to OBD adapter cable plus a yellow adapter cable to reach all systems of a 500. Youu'll find information to suitable adaptors on the Mes Homepage.

Out of interest, totally different subject, but should it have stop/start? I dont see the usual button to switch it off etc or the A in the circle doesnt appear on screen etc... I just saw some others saying theirs did have that was all.
Thanks for your help.

All the 2015 1.2 s cars i have just looked at on e-bay and auto trader have the button with the "S" symbol fitted in the bottom left part of the switch block!
You could pop your switch block out and see if the blank button on yours has electrical connector pins in the back of it? If it dont and is a blanking plug then maybe your car was never fitted with it but its a bit strange!.
Also look at the battery and see if its the stop /start type ( much bigger and a greater capacity!- usually oblong in shape) the non -stop/start battery is square and smaller!. be interested to see what you find!

I'll definitely have a look and let you know, or add pics lol. I definitely dont remember a "S" switch on the dash, I would remember that, but i will let you know. Thanks again for your help. It's much appreciated.

I don't believe you have to do a proxi alignment when fitting the xtrons it can sort the flashing mileage out itself. I think its at the end of this video from Love 500, i know he definitely shows it somewhere.

Yes, he shows the can box that prevents the mileage flashing. But I don't know it it also overrides the missing blue & me which also triggers mileage flashing. Perhaps he answers directly, his nick is typecastboy iirc.

Do you get a "stop start unavailable" message when you turn on the ignition?
If you press the button do you get a "stop/start disconnected" message on lcd screen and the yellow stop start symbol with a line through it in the 2 o ,clock position in the speedo?
You will never believe this, but I took it out yesterday and the stop/start worked lol. It only seems to last for around 5 seconds though which I find very short. Is that maybe down to battery or something? or can it be adjusted?

Thanks again

Cant be adjusted! but is subject to many conditions/ parameters!
cuts out if the battery does not have enough capacity! if the air cons on it often stops it as well, as does heated rear screen or sometimes stereo- and it does not work if car is in reverse!.
It has so many parameters that it constantly monitors and if even one value is outside the computers expectations then it dont work! most folk just turn it off! (if they can stand the orange warning light in the speedo all the time its off!( I cant!).

Yeah, I drive a Peugeot 2.0 litre diesel and its the same, with all the parameters. I'll take the 500 a good drive on saturday and see if that helps it any. Thank you
