Hi, I've got a fiat 500S and upgraded the stereo because the blue&me is a bit rubbish. I fitted one of these all singing and dancing android headunits that do carplay and the likes.

Installing went fine, everything works as it should. The mileage started flashing as expected.

I have MES for fixing stuff. Errors listed were missing radio and proxi configuration error. Before doing the MES stuff i unplugged the blue&me module so MES knew it wasn't there and read online it can go bad and cause problems.

First issue is that the car is 2015, proxi has options for 2014+ cars and pre-2014. A 2015 could be on the change over, both options appear to read the data fine from the BCM. Which is right?

The problem is that MES doesn't detect that blue&me is missing, even if it reports a DTC error. Entering proxi screen says no alignment needed all is correct. It lists the entertainment telematic now as EOL/OK, not missing as the YouTube example.

If i run the proxi alignment it fails at the entertainment telematic node not replying. It's not connected, therefore will fail.

There is a link here:

@Baglady1990 said there is an option to disable blue&me before proxi alignment. I have gone through every option and can see no option

Why does proxi still think blue&me is present?

I don’t remember saying anything about disabling B&M before proxi in MES but forgive me if I did … I changed my system out a few years ago now so the details are sketchy! All I remember doing was unplugging the b&m module after I installed the new system.. then doing a proxi for my flashing mileage… and that worked first time for me … my 500 is a 2011 though

Post #12, you said the option always after unplugging the unit. What was the option, i think that is what i need to do, cannot see anything for blue&me or telematics in the options.

Well, interesting forum, thanks for all the valued help.
Sorted now with the help of some decent forums and a bit of self figuring out with the proxi setting. Steering controls even work and no odometer flashing.

Wasn't a patience issue, more a knowledge issue given that the forum's tag line is "The internet's #1 online community and oracle for all things FIAT since 2002 - if we don't have the answer, no-one does!"

Clearly not :LOL::LOL:
