i got onto the chap about 4stud 10 spoke and they had indeed typoed on their website.

so itll be the 8 spoke for me

and the first shipment will arrive in jan so if i can get some cash together ill likely be the first in the uk to have them.

hillariously according to my driving instructor i have been doing perfect parralel parking since september.
Not hilarious, isnt that his job?

and as far as im aware i havent kerbed any wheels since i first started driving when i was 8.
You cant kerb wheels on fields can you. When you're driving through town on your own trying to work out whether this Phaeton is going to plough though you because the driver is an arrogant prick, pulling in and clipping the kerb yourself.... Or misjudging a gap like we all do in the first year of driving... You get what i mean.

Stop being so damn naive.

yes it is his job. on recalection that reads a bit daft now.

i used to drive on an old ww2 airfield so there are mahoosive potholes etc so its kind of surprising i didnt kerb the wheels, ive been having lessons since march so would have thought i would have kerbed wheels by now if i was going to at all.

i knwo what you mean though thats why im taking into account the possiblity/likelihood of kerbing.

didnt realise i was being naieve:confused:

If you have been having lessons since march, and you are as good at driving as you say you are, why havent you passed yet...

Also i would say 99% of learner drivers dont kerb the wheels, because the instructor is in the car. Its when you are driving on your own that you do it.

i dont claim to be a good driver, i have been told im a good driver personally i dont think i am.

the reason i havent passed yet is in total between me and my instructor we have had about 3 months holiday i then failed on bonfire night and the next available test slot is on the 19th jan 2009.

on the wheel kerbing front i dont really know i just thought if it was likely for me to kerb them i would have done it at least once by now but ill have to wait and see.

You will, for a fact kurb your wheels .And thats not a dig at you. There probably isnt a driver alive who has never done it.

Carl when your back with us why not consider this buy?
https://www.fiatforum.com/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=11635

Though personaly id put a maximum of 16" on your car.
And Im not saying these will fit. so check the specs as I know very little about punto's.

hate to be teaming up with carl here:p

BUT

Ive never curbed my alloys passed a year ago.(y)

i havent passed YET but have been driving since i was 8 and havent kerbed any YET.

on the oz's i have contacted the company i will be getting mine from and they are asking oz's head office about the weight of 17"s also the next shipment to the uk is january (container load) so i have chance to get the cash together :)

i also contacted the company who claimed to have ten spoke michelangelo's in 4 stud fitment and they had indeed got it wrong so it will be 8 spokes for me.

Loads of spokes will mean you can't really use a purple rim as they will break it up in loads of places and make it look disjointed.

Rolf don't be a clone.

Just picture it in your head, these wheels

With a paint job like this

But with the rims this colour.

You can pick up a set of Venoms 17" in a Vauxhall fitment for under £100 easy. Kerbs scratches and dodgey tyres don't matter. As you will be getting them refurbed and save enough money to buy the best tyres and still save. Would also give you I'm pretty sure the first GP in the UK certainly probably the world sporting Venoms, custom Venoms. Custom stuff for a car instead of off the shelf is always way cooler.

But if you want to be a conformed clone following the herd. That is entirely your choice. Well sorto your choice. Don't suppose you can argue you choose anything if your copying others. Ooh that's quite a deep philosophical point tagged on to the end there.

Can you choose to follow the herd or do you just do it as instinct. :chin:

im starting to like this idea now as have worked out that with the way finding a job is going ill have to wait untill june before i can get the OZs

do you have any pointers on where i can get a set other than on ebay?
