General What does CANCHECK mean when it displays on your radio?

Hi,

I have a Fiat 500 08 plate and most days when I turn on the engine, CANCHECK appears on the radio. The car starts fine, sometimes turns over a little more than usual, however, 9/10 the message CANCHECK appears on the radio- what does this mean and how do I get rid of it??

Any help you can offer would be great

Need to go to a dealer and have the earth points checked and possibly a "Proxy Alignment"

is a self diagnostics check of the car's computer network

shouldnt come up automatically, means there is a connectivity issue
