When i start the car from cold, and push the accelerator the car shuts down, when i re-start it the second time it does the same thing, third time it is ok, what could cause this ?

As there is so little information and a lot of possible causes this is kinda difficult to pin down! my first suggestion is to get the car diagnosed for fault codes in an attempt to try to locate a specific area/system that is causing the issues then move forwards from that point!
