It would be fair to say that I can get annoyed when people go on about how no one needs winter tyres in the UK and that they're only for use on snow and ice.

I was going to part-ex my S reg Ford KA3 towards my 1.2 Lounge, but a mate ended up buying it in the end (for bugger all, I might add). It only had 43600 miles on it with a full service history (it was my Dad's from new before it was mine) and had never had a problem a day in its life. But, fond of it as I was, it was definitely time to move on!

Traded in 2008 Sport 500 for Abarth Punto last year. Although 500 was a joy to drive and trouble free ownership I trusted my lucky star and traded it in for unknown quality that was Punto Abarth. Almost one year later and with only minor niggles, no regrets! More smiles per mile :D

The TA Lounge replaces a Saab 900SE convertible that was starting to get expensive. Last year it needed a new compressor for the AC and a new door lock which cost over £300 fitted!

It was my wife's car and she and my daughter didn't put the roof down that much. My hair didn't mess up so easily! :p

It'll be a bit sad on super sunny days but the TA is fun and I hope she gets lots of enjoyment out of it and doesn't have to worry about what might go wrong next, as was beginning to happen with the Saab.

I sold my 2008 Audi TT when it was a year and a half old because I did not drive it as much as I thought I would.

I sold BMW 3 series compact. It was a fantastic car, but living in London, I needed something economical, so I partxed it for TwinAir Loung that I picked up just this morning. Now lets see how "economical" TwinAir really is. So far I'm loving it. Looks great in Electroclash Grey.

BMW 323i '97 with 80K miles sold to part fund a 500 1.4 Black Sport '08
500 1.4 Sport '08 39K sold to fund a 500 1.4 Lounge Funk white '09 4K (done today !)

All come about because of the scrappage scheme (on both ocassions !)but ended up keeping the car to be scrapped - a Marea '00 1.6 weekend with 116K miles

Like the snarl from the 1.4 although it is more mutted in the '09 with the low mileage.

Mini 30. It was fantastic, but just not cut out for those slightly longer journeys. If we get a bigger garage we'll get another Mini for occasional fun.

I'm picking up my twin air Friday morning and will be losing our citroen picasso over the weekend to a friend of my husband who is going to do it up as a project.

I am really looking forward to the new car but worried about losing the space from the picasso. However, it broke down on me yet again just as I was pulling onto the fast lane of the A12 in Essex last week so I think it is time we parted company!

Part exchanged my 2005 1.2 Punto Active sport for the 1.4 sport.

Punto had a few small problems but had been perfect for 5 years. Wanted something faster and a bit more fun.

off topic and what the... how did you take this pic ? it has an inquisitive but a joyous effect on the senses, you feel like touching the screen. The road is like the travelator from Isaac Asimov robot books.
