off topic and what the... how did you take this pic ? it has an inquisitive but a joyous effect on the senses, you feel like touching the screen. The road is like the travelator from Isaac Asimov robot books.

An amazing picture of the TT. The 500 by diesel must be really good if RUI traded his TT in for it. I reckon it would be hard to beat this trade in as the best given all the scappage deals that other people were doing. I'd love to see a picture of this angle on the 500 - what are the chances RUI ?

I Part-ex'd a 2003 Audi A3 1.6 for my 500 1.2 pop, the only reason i part-ex'd it was because i couldn't afford to run it anymore with the cost of fuel on the rise, and for some reason i couldn't get a sensible quote on my insurance they wanted almost £1000 more this year to insure it, they said it was due to my age (23) but i got the car when i was 22 and it was only £972 to insure it then.

Sold my 2001 peugeot 206 convertible in 2008 to get a 1.4 crossover black lounge as I'd had it over 6 years, fancied a change and loved the shape of the 500. The 1.4 has now been traded in for a 500c lounge twinair in crossover black with red roof which I'm collecting on saturday (hopefully!) :) Have had no problems at all with the 1.4 but missed driving a convertible.

Sold an Lotus Elise, my toy.. so she could have a 500. damn you wife! as the reason was the elise slightly unpractical...

the 500 TA actually saved me selling my current daily driver which is getting a bit full on for 20k a year and has a thirst for super unleaded and will be joining.....

our sensible family car a mk 5 GTI Pirelli one of only 222 (so a keeper) now running 300bhp and the wifes daily

our fun car and my daily Scirocco GT which is now far from standard knocking out between 290-300bhp and should stop a bit better when the porka 4 pots are on

the 500 TW means some supsension upgrades and more of this until i decide what to repalce it with

500 TA is ticked the right boxes as makes me smile when i drive it

Sad story on this one, We had a Stilo Dynamic which we had to give up and scrap due to the engine being wrecked due to a cambelt pulley failing.
Had planned on getting the 500 anyway, but a year later was what I had planned to do.
Still, for once I made sure not to compromise on the model and got exactly what I wanted, a brightly coloured 1.4 Lounge :)

Well there is no accounting for taste as they say.
Of course, but Audi and VW just seem like a lazy bunch of bar stewards. I mean look at the front of all of the current Audi's and the rear of everything from the A4-A8 (they'll probably make an A12 by this time next year......) VW's are more or less the same story.

You are ignoring one thing - they all look bar steward good.

I have to say that I find modern VW's monumentally boring to look at. Sorry to say :p

there is no accounting for taste fella and wasn't ecpecting to feel the love on a fiat forum, but i guess you just got lucky with the bsn 500 or your wife chose it ;)

fortunately i dont have to look at them when i drive them, yes not the best lookers agreed but not the reason why i bought them, drive well without the c#ck factor and residuals are superb and a lot of fun
